SIMEON5 HAINES (JOHN4, SAMUEL3, MATTHIAS2, SAMUEL1 HAINES, ("DEACON")) was born February 22, 1758 in Exeter, and died October 12, 1846. He married WEALTHY SPENCER June 15, 1781.

Notes for SIMEON HAINES:
Simeon Haines was born in Exeter, and was an ardent patriot. He was in the war of the Revoluton four and one-half years, being in the campaign which captured Burgoyne, and in the battles of Trenton and Princeton. He was with Benedict Arnold at Stony Point, and at Monmouth; also with Gen. Sullivan in that sad destruction of Indian fields and homes in the beautiful valley of Genesee. After returning from the war he married Wealthy Spencer, with whom he lived sixty-five years in the towns of Dover, Durham, Waldoboro, Alfred, and Swainville, ME. He died at the age of eighty-eight. His wife survived him nearly two years, dying at the age of eighty-four.

vi. WEALTHY HAINES, b. June 18, 1795; d. October 04, 1851.

vii. NATHANIEL HAINES, b. May 05, 1797.

He was in the war of 1812 and fought in the battle of Lake Champlain.
