"BLACK CARROLL
George Otis "Black" Carroll, 82, died Subnday, January 26, 2003 at :Lewis County Manor.
The funeral was held Tuesday, January 28 at 11:00 a.m. at McDonald Funeral Home, Inc. with Reverend Thomas Vann, minister of Oak Grove-Haley's Chapel United Methodist Churches, officiating. Burial was ion the Downey Cemetery.
Mr. Carroll, born March 1, 1920 in Hohenwald, was the son of William Boyd and Virgie Bates Carroll. He was a retired shop foreman of the Lewis County Highway Department.
He is survived by his wife, Wannie Crook Carroll of Hohenwald; two sons, Ronbald and Stephen Carroll of Hohenwald; a brother, Jerry Carroll of Hohenwald; a sister, Iva DePriest of Hohenwald; four grandchildren, and two great grandchildren.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers, William Carroll, and twinb brother, Thomas "Blue' Otto Carroll; a sister, Lorine Staggs."
