Also living with the family was John's mother Mary Mudd, age 67. All were born in Kentucky with their parents born in Kentucky.
Ruby F. Roof died on June 9, 1926. She was buried in the Wilson Cemetery east of Ready, Grayson County, Kentucky. Her husband joined her there after his death on March 10, 1934.
