LANCASTER: Joyce Ann Craig Sheets went home to be with her Lord and Savior on Saturday, November 27, 2010 at 10:38pm. Joyce was born on September 15, 1946 to Clarence and Maudie (Arthur) Raike in Portsmouth, Ohio.

Joyce graduated from Glenwood High School. Joyce worked for Drew Shoe Corporation for 25 years, Lancaster Family Care for 10 years and for James and Eileen Lantz for the past 4 years. She is remembered by all for her love of gardening and the amazing Christmas cookies that she gave to her loved ones over the years.

Joyce is survived by her daughter, Tracie Ann and son-in-law, Dustin Sheets; brother, Buddy (Betty) Raike; sister, Janet Raike Kegley; brother and sister-in-law, Otis and Judy Whitt; stepchildren, Thomas Sheets, Jeff Sheets, Becky Sheets, Jaime Sheets; grandchildren, Rayann, Kayde and Gwendolyn Palmer; nephews Wayne Kegley, Tim Kegley, Douglas Kegley, Lee Whitt, Donny (Tammy) Raike, Eddie Raike, Shelton Raike, Brody Perkins, Kayden Perkins; nieces Dana Raike, Amber Dawn Perkins, Ashley Adkins, Lori Jean and Porsche Whitt; and her best friend for 42 years, Judy Thursh.

She is preceded in death by her parents; first husband, Acie Craig; second husband, Thomas Sheets; grandson, Jeffrey Ryan Tyler Palmer; nephew, Mike Kegley; and her beloved pet, Molly.

A funeral service will be conducted on Thursday December 2, 2010 at 2:00 p.m. at the SHERIDAN FUNERAL HOME with the Rev. Paul F. Thrush officiating. Burial will be in West Rushville Cemetery immediately following the service.

Friends may visit on Wednesday, December 1, 2010 from 2-4 p.m. and 6-8 p.m. at the funeral home.

Joyce's daughter Tracie would like to say a special thank you to those who cared for Joyce during her illness. Robin (Bob) Hutchinson, Jerry (Amy) Thursh, Angel (Randy) LeuVoy, Chrystal and Denny Conrad, and all of the wonderful nurses and staff at FairHoPe Hospice of Fairfield County.
