Jacob was the son of Daniel & Sophia Stenger (Stinger). Jacob married Maria Kessler on November 08, 1826 in the First Reformed Church at 4th & Race Streets where Jacob had been baptized. He was a farmer at Maiden Lane & Grays Ferry in Philadelphia, now 33rd & Dickinson. He was the father of George, Daniel, John, Maria, Frederick, William Henry Harrison, Josiah Harmer, Henry Clay, Louisa and Samual Kessler. Jacob was originally buried at Philanthropic Cemetery but they were moved to Arlington on March 10, 1909 as Philanthropic was being closed.
