CYPRESS, Ill.--Rebecca Snell Rutherford, 34, of Cypress died at 7:02 a.m. Friday in a wreck in Dongola. She had been Dongola postmaster for six months and previously worked as a postal clerk.
She is survived by her husband, Derek Rutherford; her mother, Toni Newton of Cypress; one daughter, Iris Malynn Rutherford of Cypress; two sons, Amos Zane Rutherford and Thomas Byron Rutherford, both of Cypress; one brother, Matt Snell of Simpson; two sisters, Jennie Edwards of Cypress and Jodie Snell of Paducah, Ky.; and her grandfather, Anthony Wasuleski of Cypress.
She was preceded in death by her father, Tommy Franklin Snell, and grandparents Iris Wasuleski and Delbert P. and Virginia Snell.
Services will be at 10 a.m. Monday at Bailey Funeral Home of Vienna with the Rev. Gordon Montgomery officiating. Burial will be at West Eden Cemetery.
