She retired from the Department of Mental Health McFarland Zone Center where she worked as a nurse. She was a member of St. Aloysius Catholic Church in Springfield, IL. She also served as a Captain in the Army during the Korean War.
She was born Jan. 9, 1922 in Agassiz British Columbia, Canada, the daughter of Charles Victor and Catherine Foley Anderson.
She is survived by one brother: Thomas B. Anderson of Naperville, IL; two sisters: Gladys (Joseph) Edwards of Lincoln, IL; Eva Lorenzi of Springfield, IL.
She was preceded in death by her parents; four sisters: Jean Anderson, Doreen Dorgan, Kathleen Johnson and Hilda Asumendi.
Graveside services will be Friday, November 26, 2010 at 2:00 p.m. at St. Mary's Cemetery, Lincoln. Interment will be at St. Mary's Cemetery in Lincoln. There will be no visitation.
Memorials may be made to the Logan County Humane Society or St. Clara's Manor.
