William Israel
William Israel died Thursday, June 3rd, 1920, at his home in this city. Death though not unexpected, came suddenly of heart disease. He had been in poor health for several months with a complication of diseases of which asthma was one and for some time had been unable to lie down. He was a native of Georgia, coming in his early childhood to Missouri with his grandparents. In 1872 he was married to Miss Harriet Jenkins, who with two sons, James of Independence, and William of Waverly, and two daughters, Mrs. Arthur Robertson of Kansas City, and Mrs. Frank McClue of Alma, survive him. All were called home to attend the funeral which too place at the Presbyterian church, of which he was a member, Saturday, June 5th. The services were conducted by Rev. Puckett. Burial was in the Waverly cemetery.
