Died 4:40 a.m. Tuesday, Nov. 6, 1990, at Our Lady of the Lake Regional Medical Center. He was 86, a native of Oscar and a resident of Baton Rouge. He was a retired I.M. Causey Furniture Co. manager. Visiting at Welsh Funeral Home, 4 to 9 p.m. Wednesday and 9:30 a.m. to 1:20 p.m. Thursday. Rosary will be said at 7 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home. Religious services at Our Lady of Mercy Catholic Church at 1:30 p.m. Thursday, conducted by the Rev. Stephen Hymel. Entombment in Greenoaks Memorial Park Mausoleum. Survived by wife, Doris C. Joffrion, Baton Rouge; a daughter and son-in-law, JoAnne and Harry Martin, Houston, Texas; a son and daughter-in-law, Oscar A. Jr. and Helen Joffrion, Laguna Niguel, Calif.; two sisters, Mrs. Annie Laurie O'Banion and Mrs. Sam (Eulalie) Bullion, both of Baton Rouge; seven grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren. Preceded in death by parents, a brother, and a sister. Pallbearers will be Harry and Keith Martin, Malcolm Landry, Kenneth Garcia, Stephen Bullion and Charles Phillips. Honorary pallbearers are Michael R. Martin, Joseph and Christopher Joffrion, Clifford Caillouet, Sam Bullion and Jimmy O'Banion. He was a member of Our Lady of Mercy Catholic Church and a 3rd degree member of Knights of Columbus Council No. 3298.
