PALESTINE - Services for Melvin McNeal, 37, of Palestine, are set for 3:30 p.m. Wednesday in Bailey and Foster Funeral Home chapel in Palestine with the Rev. Lynn Parker officiating. Burial will be in Roselawn Park. Mr. McNeal died Sunday afternoon.
Mr. McNeal was born October 12, 1948, in Maine. He lived in Palestine 12 years and was a member of First Baptist Church of Palestine.
He was a former employee of Alcoa and at the time of his death was accountant and comptroller of Circle W Supply of Jacksonville.
Survivors include his wife, Ruth Compton McNeal, Palestine; a son, Melvin McNeal Jr.. Palestine; a daughter, Michele Lee McNeal, Palestine; his mother, Martha McNeal, New Sweden, Maine; three brothers, David McNeal of Pennsylvania, Wilfred McNeal, New Sweden, Maine, and Robert McNeal of Colorado City, Texas; four sisters, Mavis Marsh, Colorado City, Texas, Carolyn T. Wilcox, New Hampshire, and Deborah McNeal and Thelma Wilcox, both of New Sweden, Maine.
Pallbearers will be Dr. W. Barry James, Bob Freeman Sr., Roland Haley, William Nesbitt, Don Keilv, Felix Thompson, Ron Pheffer and Vernon Chenoweth.
