A retired post mistress for the Clackamas post office, Camille O. Howell, died Saturday in a local nursing home. She was 89. She was born Sept. 22, 1896, in Viola Idaho and had lived in Vancouver since 1982. She last lived at 3409 Main Street. Mrs Howell was a member of Clackamas United Church of Christ of Clackamas, Ore., and was a 50-year member of the Order of Eastern Star of Corvallis, Or. Survivors include her son John, of Vancouver, her daughter Shirley O'Connor of San Bernardino, Calif; four grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren. The funeral will be at 11 a. m. Wednesday at Vancouver Funeral Chapel, with the Rev.Jay Calhoun officiating. Burial will be in Willamette National Cemetery. Memorials may be made to the United Church of Christ Memorial Fund, 15303 S E Webster Road, Milwaukie, Ore., 98222.
