Services for Mr. Thomas Louis "T.L." Magee, 92, of Natchez, who died Thursday, Dec. 21, 2006, at Natchez Community Hospital, will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at McNeely Road Church of God with the Rev. Julius Roberts, the Rev. Steve Bullion and the Rev. Steve Pearson officiating.

Graveside services will be at 1 p.m. Saturday at McCall Creek Church of God Cemetery with burial to follow under the direction of Laird Funeral Home.

Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. today at Laird Union Street Funeral Home and from 9 a.m. until service time Saturday at the church.

Mr. Magee was born Oct. 17, 1914, in Franklin County, the son of the late Thomas James Magee and Mary "Mollie" Wilkinson Magee McManus. Mr. Magee moved to Natchez in 1941, worked in the shell plant until 1943, then retired in 1977, after working 34 years at Armstrong Tire and Rubber Company.
He was a faithful member of McNeely Road Church of God and was saved at the age of 18. He served more than 60 years on the Pastor's Council and as a Sunday School teacher. He was a loving husband for 51 years to Ethel Burr Magee, who preceded him in death on Feb. 18, 1987, and was a wonderful father to his children.
He was also preceded in death by his parents; a son, James Ronald Magee; grandson, Michael Louis Magee; great-granddaughter, Alicia Hoover; a sister, Lizzie Magee Flowers; and three brothers, Stevie L. Magee, John Wesley Magee and Powell Lee Magee.

Survivors include daughter, Alice Magee Tarver and husband, Daniel H., of Natchez; three sons, Tommie Eugene Magee and wife, Carolyn Criswell Magee of Gloster, Jesse Lee Magee and wife, Christine Shorter Magee, of Florence and Harold Louis Magee and wife Sue Ellen Poindexter Magee of Meridian; one brother, Jessie D. Magee and wife, Dorothy Hutto Magee of Denham Springs; eight grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; many nieces and nephews; and three very good friends Ferdie Passbach, Marie Brown and Trilla Mullins, all of Natchez.

Pallbearers will be his grandsons, Tommy Magee Jr., Ronald V. Magee, Rick L. Magee, David Magee, Clinton Seals and Terry Pope.
