DEQUEEN, Ark., May 20---George Russell Thomas, 65, died late Thursday night at his home.

Born in Wickes, Ark., he was a life-long resident of Polk county. He was a Polk county school teacher 25 years and a Baptist minister 40 years.

Funeral services were held at 4 p. m. Saturday at the Emmanuel Baptist church in Cove with his son-in-law officiating.

Burial was in Pleasant Grove cemetery.

Among his survivors is a daughter.
