She had been in failing health for several years although confined to bed only a day before her death.
Funeral services will be held Friday morning at 9 o'clock at St. Alphonsus Church. Burial will be in the family plot at St. Alphonsus Cemetery.
She was born at Ellenburg, N.Y., the daughter of Joseph and Lucille Provo Vevia. Forty-one years ago at Mooers Forks, N.Y. she was married to Benjamin Peete, who survives. The family had resided here since 1910.
Surviving are four sons: Frank, Joseph and Thomas Peete, all of Tupper Lake, and Frederick of Niagara Falls, N.Y.; four daughters: Mrs. Lavina Farrant of Montebelle, P.Q. and Mrs. Rose Miller, Mrs. Gertrude LaBarge and Miss Melvina Peete, all of Tupper Lake; five sisters, Mrs. Hermidos Deorosiers, Mrs. Sarah Boulia, and Mrs. Jerry LaBarge, all of Tupper Lake, Mrs. Henry LaSella, Plattsburgh and Mrs. Thomas Scanlon of Herkimer and two brothers, Henry and Joseph Vevia, both of Ellenburg Depot, N.Y.; also 17 grandchildren.
