Mrs. Burgamy was a native of Wilkinson County and had made her home in Baldwin County for most of her life. She was retired from the Central State Hospital where she worked as a Health Service Tech and was a member of Scottsboro Baptist Church. She was the widow of the late Gordon Burgamy, Sr., and predeceased by a brother, Richard Collins.

Survivors include Daughter; Wanda Sue (Ernest) DeVane, Sons; Benny (Julia) Burgamy, James (Angie) Burgamy, and Gordon (Janie) Burgamy Jr, all of Milledgeville, 9 Grandchildren, 9 great grandchildren; 1 Great Great Grandchild, Sister; Dorothy Ann Johnson of Milledgeville, Brothers, Robert Eugene ( Sylvia) Collins of Carnesville, and James ( Saralyn) Collins of Milledgeville, and Sister in law- Ruth Collins of Florence, AL.
