Charles S. Ackley, an inventor who had been in the construction machinery industry for forth years. He invented the electrical bottom hole heater for oil wells, and held patents on the process for soil solidification. Secretary and Director of the McKierman-Terry Drill Company in 1906, and a former commander general of the Society of American Wars. He belonged to the St. Nicholas Society, Sons of the Revolution, Society of Mayflower Descendants, Society of Colonial Wars and General Society of War of 1812.
