Addie Voyles Stevens, 76, wife of the late Forrest Hyden Stevens Sr. and a resident of Exmore, passed away Monday morning at the home of her daughter in Onancock. A native of Wardtown, Mrs. Stevens was the daughter of the late William Henry and Margaret Kellam Voyles. She was a member of the Exmore Baptist Church.

She is survived by three children, Emerson Stevens Sr. of Seaford, DE, Jerry M. Stevens Sr. and his wife Belva of Quinby, VA and Darlene Stevens of Onancock, VA, six grandchildren and seven great grandchildren. Mrs. Stevens was predeceased by two sons, Forrest Hyden Stevens Jr. and Kenneth Ray Stevens.

Funeral services will be conducted Thursday May 21, 2009 at 1:00 PM at the Exmore Baptist Church with the Rev. Jonathan Carpenter and Mr. Kemmie Dize officiating. Interment will follow in the Belle Haven Cemetery. Family will join friends Wednesday evening from 7 to 8:30 at the Doughty Funeral Home, Exmore.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to a charity of one's choice.
