Luther Keith Bomer
TRINITY -- Graveside services for Luther Keith Bomer, 53, were held at 4 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 15, 2010 at Chita Cemetery with Bro. James Parker III officiating. Mr. Bomer died Friday, Sept. 10, at his residence. He was born Oct. 13, 1956 in Houston, and was a graduate of St. Thomas High School, class of 1976. He served his country in the U.S. Air Force and was a graduate of University of St. Thomas where he majored in music and minored in history. Mr. Bomer served as an Eagle Scout, a Golden Glove Boxer, and served as an "Eagle Eyes" spotter for St. Thomas High School for more than a decade. He was a standout football player in high school, played on Baby Oilers Football team and was a member of the Houston Gamblers. He was an accomplished singer, songwriter and musician and he pioneered the Houston High School Hero's n Show. Mr. Bomer was preceded in death by his parents, Gordon and Gloria Bomer. Survivors include two sons, Jeremy Keith and Brian Russell Shober; a brother and his spouse, Gordon Kent and Sherrie Bomer; two sisters, Tracy Bomer and Joan Elizabeth Brier; his beloved dog, Boo Boo; beloved alumni brothers, Jerry Guarino, Layne, Tony Emmittee and Larry Miggins; and a number of nieces, nephews and friends. Pallbearers included John Gremillion Jerry Guarino, Larry Miggins, Tony Emmittee and Bob Lang. Honorary pallbearers were Jim Schwarbach and Rory Miggins. Waller-Thornton Funeral Home of Trinity directed the arrangements
