Clifford Houchin Coats, 72, Cave City, passed away Monday, November 15, 2010 at T. J. Samson Community Hospital, Glasgow. The Hart County native was the son of the late John and Lottie Houchin Coats. The US Army Veteran was an assistant manager at Houchens Market and member of Servant Valley Baptist Church.
Survivors include his wife, Marie Poynter, Cave City and a brother, Cletus Coats (Betty), Elizabethtown. He was preceded in death by a son, John William Coats and a sister, Clydia Gaye Coats.
Funeral services will be at 1 PM Thursday, November 18 at Servant Valley Baptist Church with burial in the Cave City Cemetery. Visitation at the funeral home will be from 5 PM to 8 PM today (Tuesday). Visitation will resume at the church after 10 AM Wednesday and continue until time of service on Thursday.
