Oscar Findley
Oscar Findley, 64, life-long resident of Homer and vicinity, dropped dead of heart disease yesterday afternoon while working with his son, Leslie, in the woods on the William Laker farm, five miles southwest of Homer. Mr. Findley had suffered intermittently from a heart ailment for some time, but recently had appeared to be in good health and able to work each day.
He retired from active farm work several years ago, and moved into Homer village. Besides the son, Leslie, he leaves the widow, Emma; four grandchildren, residing south of Homer; a brother, Haskell Findley, who lives southwest of Homer, and three sisters, Mrs. Hattie Chamberlain and Mrs. Jennie Southwell, of Homer, and Mrs. Mida McComb, of Montana. he was a member of the Homer Woodmen's lodge.
Funeral services will be held on Thursday at 2:00 p. m. at the home in south Byron street, Homer, with the Rev. Joseph Grimes officiating. Burial is to be in Fairview cemetery.
