Sam Buntin Dies, Services Sunday

John Samuel Buntin, 71, died at 11:15 p. m. December 18 at the hospital here. Services will be held at 2 p.m. Sunday from the Root mortuary with Rev. R. E. Shelton officiating. Interment will be in the Steamboat Springs cemetery.

Mr. Buntin was born in Earlington, Ken., on October 27, 1886. He came to Colorado from Illinois in 1931 and moved from Lake City, Colo, to Oak Creek in 1936. The deceased, a retired miner, was a member of the Baptist church and the United Mine Workers.

Survivors include his widow, Mrs. Maude Buntin of Steamboat; two sons, Gene Buntin of Oak Creek and Tommy Buntin of Steamboat; two daughters, Mrs. Drusila Cary of Pueblo and Mrs. Vera Lovell of Hollywood, Calif.; two brothers, Will Buntin of Las Vegas, Nev., and Tom Buntin of Elderado, Ill.; two sisters, Mrs. Eddie Harris and Mrs. William Wells, both of Earlington, Kentucky.
