Mrs. Mary Frances (Dye) Byrd-Blue, age 63, of Calwood, Missouri died Monday night August 11, 1968 at Callaway Memorial Hospital.

Mary was born August 17, 1906 in Centralia, Missouri, the daughter of Henry and Hattie (Hunt) Dye. She was married to Roy Byrd in 1923 and he preceded her in death July 20, 1942. She then married Ray Dews who preceded her in death on February 2, 1960. . She later married Emmitt D. Blue in 1962 and he survives her.

Mary is survived by her husband; four children Nollie Bob Byrd (Pearl) of Kansas City, Missouri, Charles Edward Byrd, Mrs. Charles Gene (Mary Lee Byrd) Lepley and Mrs. Benny (Shirley Ann Byrd) Tharp, all of Calwood, Missouri; a brother Robert (Evie) Dye of Calwood, Missouri; a sister, Mrs. Hazel Goodman of Des Moines, Iowa; 10 Grandchildren, Nolly Bob Jr., Jackie, Donnie and Ricky Byrd, Billy, Ronnie, Diane and David Lepley, Lisa Joyce Byrd and Lori Tharp; numerous nieces and nephews.

Her parents; two brothers, William "Bill" Dye and John Henry "Hawk" Dye; a sister, Mildred "Doll"( Dye) Dailey Flowers and a son, Louis Johnston Byrd, preceded her in death.

Mrs. Blue lived all her life in Callaway County.

Funeral services were conducted at Ebenezer Baptist Church with the Reverend Fred Pulliam performing the service. Burial was at Ebenezer Baptist Cemetery beside Roy and her infant son. .

Many great-grandchildren, great-great-grandchildren and great-great-great-grandchildren.

Dr. Henry Sydow, of Fulton, Missouri pronounced death due to Coronary Infarction, Pulmonary Edema and Diabetes Mellitus, acute. The informant was Emmett Blue, spouse of the deceased.
