UHRICHSVILLE - Claire C. Rothrock, 78, of 420 Cross st., died of cancer of the pancreas this morning in Valley Manor Nursing Home at New Philadelphia. He had been ill four months.
Born in Copley, he was a son of Jacob and Agness Osterstock Rothrock and resided here 10 years.
He was a retired car repairman for Republic Steel.
Surviving are a son and two daughters, Rev. Richard Rothrock and Mrs. Charles (Gladys) Lehew of here and Mrs. George (Irene) Kohler of Tuscarawas; a brother and two sisters, Karl of Thompson, Conn., Buehlah of Wadsworth and Mrs. Bethel Hall of Manor, Pa.; seven grandchildren, and eight great-grandchildren.
Two sisters preceded him in death.
Services will be Tuesday at 1 in R.K. Lindsey Funeral Home with Rev. A.J. Johnson officiating. Burial will be in Pleasant Valley Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home Sunday from 7 to 9 and Monday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9.
