Doris Nelzene “Nell” (Edmonds) Wofford, 83, of Albertville, Alabama, died on October 27, 2017 at Shepard Cove Hospice after a long struggle with Alzheimer's disease.

She was born on December 12, 1933 in Caddo, Oklahoma. She graduated from Pisgah High School in 1952 and from Trevecca Nazarene College in Nashville, Tennessee in 1958.

She married Rev. David L. Wofford on June 29, 1958. She was a member of the Nazarene church for more than seventy years, where she played the piano and taught Sunday school.

She taught elementary school in Tennessee, Mississippi and Alabama. She was the Director of the Boaz Child Development Center for over twenty years.

She was preceded in death by her husband; parents, Joe and Margie Edmonds; and brothers, Lonnie Edmonds and Quincy Zane Edmonds.

She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, son and daughter-in-law, four sisters and brothers-in-law, brother and sister-in-law, sister-in-law, four grandchildren, four great-grandchildren, and several nieces, nephews, and cousins.
