Kenneth Ralph Ijames
Kenneth Ralph Ijames, oldest son of Mr. and Mrs. Ralph Ijames, was born at Aurora June 8, 1926 and died near Belleville October 6, 1941, aged 15 years, 3 months and 28 days. He spent the early part of his childhood near Aurora, later moving to Talmo with his parents.
He attended Zion school and in 1958 and 1959 went to the Prairie Grove school. He was graduated from the eighth grade of the Lone Tree district in 1940 and was a sophomore in Belleville high school at the time of his death. He was an active member of the vocational agriculture class and had a sunny disposition that won him many friends among his classmates. He leaves his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Ralph Ijames; a half brother, Earl Launer, of Wichita; three brothers, Richard, LaVerne and Dwaine and two sisters, Bonnie and Caroline, all of the home.

Kenneth Ijames Killed in Car Accident Monday
Crushed Chest Fatal to B.H.S. Student Enroute to School.
Car Overturns
Schoolmate of 15-year-old ough Escapes with Minor Injuries.
Injuries received Monday morning in an motor car upset south of here were fatal to Kenneth Ralph Ijames 15 - year oId son of Mr. and Mrs. RaIph Ljames who live on a farm south of Belleville. At the time of the accident, Ljames was enroute to Belleville where he was a sophomore in the high school. He was accompanied by Fred Seaman, another high school student, who escaped with scratches and bruises.
According to information received concerning the accident, the car which Ljames was driving struck, the deep ruts in the road and skidded to the side, then overturned. The top of the machine was torn apart by the impact and Ljames was pinned underneath. His death resulted by a crushed chest, according to Coroner H.D. Thomas.
