RALPH IJAMES
Ralph Waldo IJames was born on Aug. 30, 1997 at Ames, the son of Willie A & Lizzie Ijames. He lived his whole life in this area, working until retirement for the railroad. He was a member of IOOF and the Brotherhood of Railroad Trainmen.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Dora, the victim of an accident this last April; by his son Kenneth, also in an accident, in 1941; his two daughters, in another accident, in 1954.
He is survived by three sons: Laverne, of Brighton, Colo.; Richard, of Houston, Tex.; Duane, of Kansas City, Mo., and a stepson, Earl Launer, of Cheyenne, Wyo., and several grandchildren.
He died June 27, 1973 in Belleville at the age of 75 years, 9 months, 27 days.
Funeral services were held at 2:00 p.m. Sunday, July I, at Tibbetts Bros. Chapel with J. Paul Boas, minister, officating. Burial was in Pleasant View cemetery, Ames.
