Erma E.McLaughlin, 95, of Nashville, died, Tuesday, December 20, 2011 in Nashville, Arkansas. She was born September 21, 1916, in Newhope, Arkansas, the daughter of the late James Augusta and Bila (Porter) Smalling.
She was a member of the Sunset Church of Christ.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 74 years, Willie Otto McLaughlin; one daughter, Bernice Cochran; one brother, Othus Smalling; and one sister, Judy Tinsley.
Survivors include: one daughter, Shirley Jones and husband, Edgar of Nashville, AR; one son-in-law, Jesse Cochran of Nashville, AR; three grandchildren, Roy Cochran and wife, Vicki, Loy Cochran and wife, Jeannie, and Debbie Seavers; six great-grandchildren, Robbie Cochran and wife, Rena, Daniel Cochran and wife, Cassie, Clara Hill, Emily Cochran, Heather Pennington and husband, Randy, and Blake Seavers; five great-great grandchildren, Jarrod Cochran, Katie Cochran, Christina Cochran, Logan Pennington, and Lucas Pennington; and two sisters, Delois Bennett and Ivalee Smalling, both of Texarkana, TX. A host of relatives and friends mourn her passing.
Services will be 2:00 P.M., Thursday, December 22, 2011 at Latimer Funeral Home in Nashville with David Williams officiating. Burial will follow in Corinth Cemetery under the direction of Latimer Funeral Home, Nashville.
