Mrs Anna Portz, who would have been 100 years old July 24, died Thursday at the Mary Lanning Hospital in Hastings.
She was born in Dyer, Ind., came to the Assumption community when she was eight years old and was a member of Assumption Catholic Church and the Altar Society.
Survivors are her sons, Joseph and Erhart of Hastings, Leo of Juniata, Herman of Tacoma, Wash., Albert of Fremont and Louis of Sterling, Colo. daughters, Mrs Nick Konen of Assumption, Mrs Bernard Miller of Campbell and Mrs Virgil Gerten of Bladen, 59 grandchildren , 165 great grandchildren and 22 great great grandchildren and a brother Leo Beiriger of Kenesaw.
The Rosary will be recited Sunday in the Jackson Chapel of Kenesaw.
Services will be held Monday at Assumption Church with Father Ernest Sloup as celebrant of the Mass and burial in the church cemetery. The Jackson Funeral Home is in charge.
