Anna Belle Whitlock, 80, of 1429 12th St., Waynesboro, died Saturday (Jan. 14, 2006) at Augusta Medical Center, Fishersville. She was born Jan. 23, 1925, in Woodstock, a daughter of John and Esta Good Wilkins. She was a charter member of St. Mark's United Methodist Church, and a member of the Women of the Moose. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, I. Samuel Whitlock, in 1983; a son, Isaac Samuel Whitlock Jr.; and two brothers, Kenny and Lawrence Wilkins. Surviving are two sons, Donald E. Whitlock of Waynesboro and John A. Whitlock and wife, De, of Weyers Cave; four sisters, Thelma Berry of Waynesboro, Fleta Jenkins of Waynesboro, Pa., Shirley Litten of Manassas, and Hazel Artz of Woodstock; three brothers, Gilbert Wilkins of Staunton, Cecil Wilkins of Mesquite, Texas, and Kirby Wilkins of Edinburgh; two grandchildren; three step-grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews. A service will be conducted at 11:00 a.m. Tuesday (Jan. 17, 2006) at McDow Funeral Home by the Rev. Merle Fisher. Interment will follow in Augusta Memorial Park. Active pallbearers will be Curtis Cash, Charlie Milhousen, Edward Spitler, John Spitler and Walter Spitler. The family will receive friends from 7-8 p.m. today (Jan. 16, 2006) at McDow Funeral Home. Memorial contributions can be made to the Waynesboro First Aid Crew, P.O. Box 1427, Waynesboro, Va., 22980.
