Almore Lind, 80 of Oslo, MN passed away on Thursday, June 3rd, 2010 at the Altru Hospital in Grand Forks, ND.

Almore Orville Lind was born on March 1, 1930 the son of Ole and Anna (Thompson) Lind. Almore grew up in Higdem Township of Polk County, MN and attended Oslo High School, graduating with the Class of 1947. Almore joined the United States Army and was enlisted during the Korean Conflict in which he drove an army tank and was Tank Commander of Tank #33 "Buttons and Bows". He also received the Purple Heart Award during his time served in the Korean Conflict. On September 7, 1957 he was united in marriage to Ila Solem in Oslo, MN. Almore farmed with his brothers Norris and Ordean. He retired in 1995. Almore was a lifelong member of Kongsvinger Lutheran Church where he was a former Board Member. He was also a member of the Oslo School Board, Higdem Township Board, Oslo American Legion #331, East Grand Forks, VFW Post 3817 of East Grand Forks, MN. Almore also received the Polk County Soil Conservation Award in 1985.
