Services for Willa Mae Sanders, 80, Allen, are 2 p.m. Monday at the Richmond Avenue Free Will Baptist Church in Allen, the Rev. Richard Hood officiating. Burial follows at Allen Cemetery.

Mrs. Sanders died January 27, 1995, at Allen. She was born April 28, 1914, in Allen to James William and Minnie Bynum McElroy.

She lived all her life in Allen and graduated from Allen High School in 1933. She was a housewife and volunteer at Woodland Nursing Home in Allen for many years. She was a charter member of the Richmond Avenue Free Will Baptist Church and a Sunday school teacher and a church clerk for many years.

On January 2, 1935, she and Royal Albert Sanders were married at Ada, He died August 21, 1988, at Ada.

Survivors include a son, Eugene Sanders, Allen; a daughter, Shirley Hayes, Collinsville; a sister, Christine Hughes, Allen; a brother, Vernon McElroy, Carmi, Illinois; and four grandchildren.

Bearers are Jim Nix, Danny Boyd, Frank Huffstutlar, Doug Stimson, Donald Johnson and Steve Dobbins.

Honorary bearers are Alvin Drake and Lee Roy Jones.
