Rev. John Stonehouse was the son of William and Catherine (Doherty) Stonehouse. He was the husband of Harriet (Speight) Stonehouse. Harriet died July 9, 1940. Rev. Stonehouse was a Local Preacher/Supply Pastor in the Genesee (Western New York/now Upper New York) Conference of the Methodist Episcopal Church - 1889-1891. Rev. Stonehouse supplied Otto, Cattaraugus Co., Olean District, New York 1889 - Rixford and Summit, McKean Co., Olean Dist., Pennsylvania 1890-1891.
