COOKEVILLE Funeral services for Ada Elizabeth Halfacre, 83, of the Granville Community of Jackson County will be held at the Cookeville Chapel of the Hooper Huddleston & Horner Funeral Home on Monday, Aug. 12, at 11 a.m. Burial will follow in Crest Lawn Memorial Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 4 to 8 p.m., Sunday, Aug. 11, and from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m., Monday, Aug. 12 at the funeral home.Mrs. Halfacre died on Saturday, Aug. 10, 2002, at Cookeville Regional Medical Center.She was born Oct. 30, 1918 to Edgar and Hattie Birdwell Myers in Smith County. Mrs. Halfacre was a homemaker and a member of the Liberty Church of Christ. She was previously a member of the Granville Church of Christ and was active with and served as the director of the Granville Senior Citizens Center.Her family includes her son and daughterinlaw, William Edgar "Ed" Halfacre Jr. and Sue Halfacre of Cookeville; grandson, William Edgar "Bill" Halfacre III and his wife, Richelle Halfacre of Cookeville.In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, William Edgar Halfacre; two sisters, Frances Wooten and Doris Myers; and two brothers, Ben and George Myers.
