Jack B. Adkins, 81 of Lisbon passed away unexpectedly at his home on Friday January 31, 2014.
Like so many of the Adkins, Jack was born in Hamlin, WV; on October 19, 1932 to the late Elza B. and Opal Cummins Adkins.
The Adkins are a very close nit family, and Jack was no exception, there will be many fond memories of their times together.
He worked 36 ½ years for J&L Steel in Louisville, OH where he retired as a Roller, and he was a Christian by faith.
Jack proudly served his country as a member of the US Air Force and he was a member of the Glenmore American Legion and the Columbiana County Farm Bureau.
Sadly his wife Leah passed away in 2007, and his sons, Steve and Tom, brothers, Lynneol, Wiser, Elza, James, and Woodrow Adkins, and sister's, Janice Johnston, and Patty Miller also preceded him in death.
Those left to carry on Jack's legacy are his son, Bill Adkins and wife Cassie of Lisbon, his daughters, Sue Laudrille and husband Mark of Lisbon, and Marty Templeton and husband Bill of Pompano Beach, FL; his grandchildren, Margaret (Mike) Foster, Amanda (Chris) Hammitt, Richard and Virginia Laudrille, Chuck Siedler, and Breann and Madison Adkins, and six great grandchildren.
His surviving siblings include, Beatty Ray and Dean Davis of Pine Hurst, NC; Mary Bevington of Virginia, Sue Warner and husband Ken of Florida, and John Adkins and wife Vicky of Chester.
Interment at Columbiana County Memorial Park in East Liverpool where the Tri-State Veterans Group and the US Air Force will honor Jack with full military rights.
