David Eugene Billings, of Baxter, passed away April 29, 2006, at Cookeville Regional Medical Center.

Billings was born Oct. 15, 1962, in Putnam County, to William Lloyd and Clara Dunn Billings.

He served in the U.S. Navy and was a crane operator for Billings Crane and Mechanical Inc.

Survivors include his parents; three sons, Christopher Billings, of South Carolina, Joshua Billings, of Baxter, and Daniel Valdivia, of San Diego, Calif.; two brothers, Donald Billings, of Bransen, Mo., and Daniel Billings, of Baxter; three grandchildren, Caitlin, Janey, and Caroline Billings; special friend, Julie, of Baxter; and special niece, Alicia Billings.

Services were 2 p.m., May 2, 2006, at Whitson Funeral Home Chapel with burial in Pleasant View Cemetery. Bro. Ronnie Dunn officiated.

Whitson Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
