Former Dorothy Wright Killed In Collision
Dorothy Ann Wright Carroll, 42, a native of
Winnfield and the daughter of the late John
W. "Judge" Wright and Dorothy Kornrumpf Wright
died in a head-on collision Sunday, February
18, at 2 a.m. near Montgomery, Ala. The oncoming
car in the wrong lane, crashed into the vehicle
she was driving, according to reports.
Last rites were held Tuesday afternoon in
Pascagoula, Miss., where she was residing.
She is survived by her husband, Bruce Carroll
and two daughters, 6 and 3 years old.
By her first marriage to Hal Earle of
Winnfield, she is survived by two daughters,
23 and 24 years of age, and by a son,
18 years of age.
The deceased is the granddaughter of the
late Mrs. Olive Wright, and is the niece
of Mrs. Eula Ezell and Mrs. Ella Keefe of
Winnfield. She is also the niece of Mrs.
Annette Grigsby of Shreveport, and is
the former daughter in law of Mr. and Mrs.
Cecil Earle of Winnfield.
