Andy Lew Brown 55, East Grand Forks, MN, died unexpectedly, Monday, September 15, 2008.

Andy was born on November 10, 1952, in Crookston, MN, to Arnold and Jane (Larson) Brown, of Mentor, MN. He was baptized and confirmed at Faith Lutheran Church in Mentor, MN and is a member of Our Savior's Lutheran Church in East Grand Forks, MN. He grew up and attended school in Mentor, MN, graduating in 1971. On October 14, 1978, he was united in marriage, to Elaine Olson, in Jamestown, ND. They were happily married for almost 30 years. Together they raised two sons, Mathew and Derek. Andy's highest priority in life was to love and provide for his family. His passions included; hunting, working in his garage, time with family and friends and his involvement in the Masonic and Shrine organizations. Andy was actively involved in the Masonic Lodge and Shrine Temple of East Grand Forks and Grand Forks. This was exemplified by his involvement in the Shrine Circus, parades and various committees. Andy's accomplishments and positions included Masonic Memberships, Past Master of Red River Masonic Lodge No. 292 EGF, Scottish Rite GF for which Andy was honored with the KCCH Award in 2007, York Rite GF, Kem Shrine GF for which he received the Samsar Award in 2002, past president of Mobil Nobles and a member of the Royal Order of Jester Court 53, of Grand Forks. Andy will be remembered best for his quick wit and ability to tell joke after joke, providing laughter and happiness, to all that knew him. Andy was loved by many and will be missed dearly.

He is survived by loving family members, including his wife, Elaine, East Grand Forks; sons, Mathew, Grand Forks, ND and Derek, Springfield, MO; brothers, Cyril "Skip" Larson, Anoka, MN, Charles (Karen) Brown, Grand Forks, ND, Todd Brown, Grand Forks, ND and sister, Susan Brown Macho, Grand Forks, ND, and many nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his parents.
