Mrs. Bill Wells, wife of a former resident of Brownsboro, died Tuesday at a hospital in Jacksonville where she had been a patient for the past six weeks. Her husband, a former resident of Brownsboro, is a brother of Charlie and Ollie Wells, two well known residents of Murchison in this county.
Funeral services were held at Overton, home of the Bill Wells family, at 2 o'clock Wednesday afternoon. The body then was brought to the Red Hill cemetery in this county for interment. The Red Hill cemetery is located between Brownsboro and Murchison.
Mrs. Wells had undergone a number of blood transfusions during her long stay in the hospital at Jacksonville as physicians worked vainly to save her life. A number of Brownsboro citizens had been blood donors for the transfusions.
