Television Producer. He was a prolific American television producer of the 1960s to the 1990s, mainly for Universal Studios. Aired by ABC, he produced with Frank Price the 1976 American television mini-series "Rich Man, Poor Man," which received nineteen Emmy Award nominations and recipient of four of the six Golden Globe nominations. The mini-series consisted of seven two-hour episodes. He produced the successful television shows of "Tarzan," "The Flying Nun" and 19 episodes in the six-year-long, "McMillan and Wife." Born the son of Louis Epstein, he attended Lehigh University. He started his career in broadcasting as an office worker. When he was 19, he worked in mimeographing at Ziv Television Programs, Inc. in New York. Before coming to Hollywood, sources state he served in the Korean War. His official debut was as a television producer with "King of Diamonds" in 1961. The cause of death was a long battle with leukemia. As executive producer, he had actively produced seven episodes of the successful detective drama "Columbo" by the time of his death.
