Per Ferguson Family History, Martin Otis Ferguson was the father of Thomas.
It is possible but not known yet if Charles Ferguson was Thomas's uncle. Based on how they moved together at the same time, it could be.

Thomas married Lavina Jane Bright in Milwaukee, Wisconsin on January 1, 1844. The couple lived in Hartford, Washington, Wisconsin; Ferguson and Bright parents and siblings settled in Hartford. Lavina gave birth to Jane on May 13, 1849 and died 2 weeks later. Lavina might have given birth to a son in 1845, Austin (or Houston). Austin and Jane (aka "Jenny") lived with Thomas and his new wife first in Wisconsin and then in Minnesota. Jenny returned to Wisconsin to live with her aunt Lois Bright Matteson and uncle Edward Matteson.
I don't know when Thomas married Marilla McIntosh, but I don't believe they married in 1846.

In 1846 in Cleveland, Ohio, Thomas James Ferguson married Marilla McIntosh. Marilla was born in 1830 at Mantua, Portage, Ohio to Moses & Rebecca "Bright" McIntosh. Thomas and Marilla moved to Atwater, Kandiyohi, Minnesota. Thomas died in November 1880. In 1881 in Kandiyohi County, Minnesota, Marilla married H J Minnick and at some point moved back to Ridgeview Township, Ohio where she passed away on October 22, 1893.
