Phillip L. Medina

OGDEN – Phillip L. Medina passed away June 16, 2007 at his home with his family comforting him. Phillip was born May 17, 1919 to Santiago Medina and Nicolasa Trujillo in Del Norte, Colorado. He married Lillian Pacheco on Nov. 25, 1939.

Phillip served in the US Army and was a gentleman of many trades. He retired from Pine View Water.

Phillip loved being with his family and friends. He enjoyed all that life had to offer. Phillips legacy of love was enjoyed by those that knew him. Phillip is survived by his life long companion , Lillian Medina; his children, Jimmy (Esther) Medina, John (Stella) Medina, George Medina, Linda (Art) Fraga, Virginia Lee Medina, Leroy Medina, Shirley (Rueben) Lovato, Frank Medina, Susan (Brennan) Medina; 36 grandchildren; 75 great grandchildren; Phillip has seven brothers and two sisters living.

He was preceded in death by his parents; his oldest daughter, Virginia Lillian; two brothers; three sisters; one great grandson.

The family would like to thank Hospice for Utah, Dr. Holland, Belinda, Joy, Debbie G, Heather, Kevin, Mary, Sheila, Lisa L. and Ann. Thanks to Father Rock of St. Mary's; Father Ken of St. Joseph's and Jason of Griffin Memorial Baptist. Also, a special grandson, Carson Ray who sat by his side day and night, Thank You.

Mass of the Christian Burial will be held Friday, June 22, 2007 at 10:00 a.m. at St. Joseph's Catholic Church. Friends and family may call at Myers Ogden Mortuary, 845 Washington Blvd. on Thursday, June 21st from 6 to 8 p.m. where a Rosary Service will be held at 7p.m.
