Mrs. John E. Hiner Dead
Mrs. Cora E. Hiner died at 2 p. m. July 18, at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Matilda Campbell of Greenville, Va. Mrs. Hiner spent all of her life here, except the last sixteen years she spent in Augusta county. She was held in high esteem by all who knew her. She was a devoted member of the Methodist church. Mrs. Hiner is survived by her husband, John E. Hiner, one son, Willie D. Hiner of Staunton, four daughters, Mrs. Byron Beverage of Monterey, Mrs. D. H. Ralston of Charleston, W. Va., Mrs. S. D. Campbell of Greenville, Mrs. H. B. Moore of Mt. Sidney, one sister, Mrs. Regina Wilson of Morgantown, W. Va., one brother, Edgar Wilson of Colfax, Illinois. Also surviving are seven grand children and two great-grandchildren. Funeral services were held Wednesday at three o'clock from the Churchville Methodist Church by Rev. W. S. Thomas, assisted by Rev. Hedley Clews, the Rev. S. C. Crawford, and Rev. S. C. Crawford, and Rev. J. A. Thomas. Burial was in Green Hill cemetery.
