LONGMEADOW - Mary C. (Drewniak) McCormack, 91, a longtime resident of Longmeadow, MA died on Sunday evening December 12, 2004 in Falmouth, MA. She was employed for 22 years as a sales clerk at the Smith Pharmacy in Longmeadow and retired in 1974. She was born on October 6, 1913 and raised in Chicopee, MA, a beloved daughter of the late Clement and Catherine (Papurzynska) Drewniak. She had moved to Longmeadow in 1951 and later moved and lived in Southampton, MA for 22 years before returning to Longmeadow in 1996. Mary was a communicant of St. Mary's Church in Longmeadow and also was a former guild member of the church. She was a former member of the Longmeadow Maternal Association, the Jolly Get-Together Club, the Autumnagers of Southampton and the Southampton Historical Society. Mary was predeceased by her beloved husband of 61 years, J. Alexander McCormack who died on July 10, 1999. She leaves her loving children, Joseph A. "Sandy" McCormack, Jr. and his wife Karen of Greenfield, MA and M. Theresa "Terri" Goldstein and her husband Stanley of Cotuit, MA. Mary also leaves her seven cherished grandchildren and her three cherished great grandchildren. She was also predeceased by her brothers, George, Joseph and Stanley Drewniak and by her sister, Christine Wzorek. Her funeral services will be held on Thursday morning December 16, 2004 at 9 a.m. at the Forastiere-Smith Funeral Home, 220 North Main Street in East Longmeadow, MA followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:30 a.m. in St. Mary's Church, 519 Longmeadow Street in Longmeadow. Her burial will follow the Mass in Longmeadow Cemetery on Williams Street in Longmeadow. Her family will receive friends at the funeral home on Wednesday December 15, 2004 from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. Memorial donations may be made in Mary's memory to the Monsignor Thomas F. Devine Scholarship Fund in care of St. Mary's Church, 519 Longmeadow Street, Longmeadow, MA 01106.
