Preceding Philip in death were his father, Estes Shelton, and his brother-in-law, William Wayne Dunlap. When Philip was young his family moved to Port Huron, MI, where he graduated from High School. He also attended Kirksville State Teachers College. He later attended a refrigeration school. Philip served two years in the United States Army where he was stationed in Germany. In addition to farming, Philip was employed by Young Radiator in Centerville, IA, for several years until his retirement. He had a love for horses and loved to go to horse sales. He alos enjoyed going to car auctions. Graveside services for Philip Shelton will be at the Unionville Cemetery in Unionville, MO, on Saturday, November 27, 2010, at 2pm. Philip's request was to be cremated and his cremains will be interred at the Unionville Cemetery. Memorials are suggested to the family and may be entrusted with Playle and Jones Family Funeral Home, Unionville, MO.
