Forest Warden News April 1945:

ADAM KAHL STOVER, son of Lawrence & Susan Stover was born in Livonia Centre County, June 28 1863. He lived his long life in the community where he was born. In Sept 1885, he married Jessie F DeLong of the same community, and by whom he is survived as well as two sons, Leslie M Stover former forest ranger of Lock Haven and Herbert E Stover of Lewisburg, Superintendent of Lewisburg Public Schools.

Most of his life he spent in labor in the forest, for many years as a lumberman, later as an employee of the Forestry Department. It was his pride and satisfaction that he had planted many more trees than he had cut. He helped plant trees in most forest planting in this vicinity. For a time he was a foreman in the Halfway CCC Camp and he was one of the oldest active Forest Fire Wardens of the State, serving in this capacity for more than thirty years. He served one term as Supervisors of the Roads of Miles Township. In early life he united with the Grace Reformed Church.
