Anna Rose Claar, 80, of Bruceton Mills, died Saturday, July 13, 2002, at Madison Rehab and Nursing Center in Morgantown.
The daughter of the late Clarence and Dorothy Henry Palmer, she was born March 14, 1922, in Fremont, Ohio.
Anna was a member of the Mary, Help of Christians Catholic Church and the Altar Society, of Bruceton Mills, and the St. Victors Catholic Church, Richfield, Ohio.
She is survived by a son, Robert Claar Jr. and spouse, Edith, of West Farmington, Ohio; two daughters, Mary Lee Smith and spouse, Dennis, of Richfield, Ohio, and Carolyn Humberson and spouse, Ward, of Bruceton Mills; a brother, Clarence Palmer Jr. and spouse, Barbara, of Rocky Ridge, Ohio; a sister, Jean Holman and spouse, Leo, of Fremont, Ohio; seven grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert R. Claar, Sept. 9, 1992, and a sister, Elizabeth Gerber.
Friends may call at the Carl R. Spear Funeral Home, Brandonville/Bruceton Mills, on Monday, July 15, from 6-9 p.m. A Christian wake service will be held Monday in the funeral home, with the Rev. P. A. Giannamore officiating. Friends may call at the Nosek and Sons Inc. Funeral Home, Brecksville, Ohio, Tuesday from 6-9 p.m. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 9:30 a.m. Wednesday, July 17, at the St. Victors Catholic Church, Richfield, Ohio, with the Rev. Allen F. Corrigan as celebrant. Interment will follow in the West Richfield Cemetery, Richfield, Ohio.
