Town of Rolling
Farmer, Dies

Fred J. Schweitzer, 77, town of Rolling farmer, died Monday night in an out of town hospital after a brief illness.

Mr. Schweitzer was a lifelong resident of the town of Rolling where he was born Feb. 1, 1881, the son of Mr. and Mrs. Phillip Schweitzer. On Sept. 6, 1917, he was married at Elmhurst to Anna Strasser who survives. He was a member of the United Church of Christ, Evangelical and Reformed.

Surviving besides his wife are three sons, Phillip, route 1, George, Antigo, and Edwin, Valders, Wis.; two sisters, Mrs. Henry Boettcher, route 1, and Mrs. Fred Kalkofen, Antigo; a half-brother Julius Winnega, Green Bay, and 11 grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by three sisters, Mrs. Lena Graves, Mrs. Catherine Vanderhei and Mrs. Ann Hill; and a brother Albert.

Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday at the McCandless – Zobel and Bradley funeral home. Burial will be in Elmwood cemetery.

Friends may call at the funeral home from 2 p.m. Wednesday.
