Rufus W. Sauls was the 6th of 8 known children born to Theophilus Polk Sauls and Emeline (Emma or "Em") Franks. He married Notie Windham. In the 1900, they had just married (24 Sep 1899). In the 1910 census, the family said had "4 children, 3 still living". These were given as Wm.R. 9, Daisy L.6 and Henry H. 3" I have not been able to find the name or sex of the infant that died young. Children born after this were: Marthie Mae, Nellie Beatrice, Caley Clyde and Arthur Ray Sauls.
