SMITHVILLE Funeral services for Eva Starnes Burton, 89, of the Wolf Creek Community will be held at 1 p.m. on Tues., Nov. 30, from the chapel of DeKalb Funeral Home. Burial will be in Crestlawn Memorial Cemetery in Cookeville. The family will receive friends from 3-8 p.m. today, Mon., Nov. 29; and from 10 a.m. until time of services on Tuesday, at the funeral home.
Mrs. Burton died on Sat., Nov. 27, 2004, at her niece's home.
She was a homemaker and a member of Wolf Creek Baptist Church.
Her family includes a sister, Johnnie Kelly of Lakewood, Calif.; a brother, Alton Starnes of Cookeville; several nieces and nephews; and several great and greatgreat
nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Dalton and Julie Taylor Starnes; her husband, Ray Burton; a sister, Jollie Watts; and two brothers, Odell and Lionel Starnes.
