MERIDIAN — Services for Ellen Taylor, 59, of 980 S. Ten Mile Road, Meridian, who died of natural causes March 1, 1982, at home, will be conducted at 11 a.m. Thursday in Cherry Lane Chapel at Meridian 12th Ward, Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, by Bishop Hal Wallentine, under the direction of Relyea Chapel. Interment will follow in Hillcrest Cemetery.
She was born Aug. 24, 1922, in Mapleton to Joseph T. and Annie Woodhead Sharp. She attended school in Preston and graduated from high school in 1940. She married Clyde H. Taylor on April 16, 1942, in the Logan, Utah, LDS temple. They lived and farmed at her father-in-law's farm in Winder. They moved to Boise in 1947, and to Meridian in 1949.
Survivors include her husband of Meridian; four sons, Jerry of Eagle, John of Boise and Roger and Ross, both of Meridian; a daughter, Mrs. Ron (Janet) McDowell of Orovada, Nev.; three sisters, Mrs. Veri (Alice) Auger and Mrs. Carol (Ina) Stocks, both of Preston, and Mrs. Don (Gladys) Chadwick of Brigham City, Utah; a brother, Albert Sharp of Preston; a half brother, Elmer Sharp of Preston; and nine grandchildren. She was preceded in death by two brothers, two sisters, four half brothers and two half sisters.
Friends may call at the chapel today from 3 to 9 p.m. The family will receive friends at the chapel tonight from 7 to 9 p.m. and at the church Thursday from 10 a.m. to time of services.
Pallbearers will be Ron McDowell and Greg, Jerry, John, Roger and Ross Taylor.
